Had the wonderful opportunity to stay at this place in Maine. I almost hate to share because everyone will want to go and it will be booked solid! It was such a zen place with lovely light, white walls, and beautiful hardwoods.

The Hub of the Hubb - Artisan Gift Shop
Had the pleasure of photographing this lovely shop's opening day in Hubbardston, Mass yesterday. Michele Murch has a wonderful eye in choosing delightful gifts and beautiful artisan work. After selling at the Canal District Farmer's market in Worcester, she has made many connections and will now display local and homemade crafts in her store on Saturday and Sundays 11-5.
Golden Ball Tavern Museum - new shoot
I had another opportunity to go back to the Golden Ball Tavern Museum and use a wide angle lens to capture more of the rooms and hallways of this very interesting museum. Working with curators of the museum, we were trying to create some images for use in storytelling.
Although the Tavern has a long walkway to the front door, the back door was the actual entrance to the Tavern for guests coming to stay. So I tried to capture a view of this backdoor in a few different perspectives and the hallway they would be entering into. It is an amazing space to capture.
In that hallway, there is a beautiful staircase leading upstairs with low rising stairs (indicating wealth) and intricate spindles that are amazing to this day. Such spectacular workmanship.
Upstairs, there is an interesting door to one of the rooms that houses a loom. This door was designed to be lifted up and latched to the ceiling to make the opening to the room larger and more accessible.
At one point, a wall was built to separate the house to provide privacy for a son and his family when they moved in.
I also took pictures of the indoor privy, which was quite a luxury in its time as well as all the other chamber pots in the house. The kids seem to get a kick out of these.
These are a few of the images that were taken on this day:
